1,000W Hand Dimmer

A great addition to your video light kit is a 1,000W Hand Dimmer also known as a "hand squeezer". It just is a lot quicker to control the light output of a fixture by dialing down a knob. There is one down side to a dimmer, it will change the color temperature of a tungsten 3200K light fixture.  As the light is dimmed the color temperature will lower making the light warmer/redder in color.  Definitely go for the 1,000W dimmer and not the smaller 600W dimmers that are less expensive.  If you overload either dimmer it will be destroyed, but the 1000W dimmer just seems to last longer.  Need to buy one?  Check out www.filmandvideolighting.com.
