Lowel Light Kit for Shooting Interviews on DV

What inexpensive light kit could you recommend for shooting interviews on DV?  A  nice little light kit that won't break the bank is the Lowel DV Creator 1 Light Kit DV-901Z.  It  comes with a 750W Lowel Tota Light T1-10, a 500W Lowel Omni Light O1-10 and a 250W Lowel Pro Light  P2-10.  Also included are (3) UN-55 Light Stands, (1) Silver Umbrella T1-25EMD 750W Bulb, FTK 500W Bulb and GCA 250W Bulb.  It comes standard with a hard carry case or you can save a few more bucks and opt for the soft case.  The kit sells for $899.95 with free UPS Ground Shipping in the continental U.S.

So with the 3 lights you have a Key light (Omni or Tota), a fill light (Omni or Tota) and a backlight (Pro Light).  The Tota light with the Umbrella can be used as a soft key light or the Omni with diffusion gel (included) can be attached to the barndoors for a "harder" (more defined shadows) key light.  The Tota or Omni light can also be used as "fill" light by bouncing off a white card or a white ceiling.

The Pro Light can be used as a backlight or as a "special" lighting a particular area or object in the background.

The Lowel DV Creator 1 Light Kit is a great start to building your lighting inventory for film, video, photo and DV production.
