The only difference is the Chimera Video Pro Plus One Softbank comes with (1) removable front diffuser and the diffuser is the standard diffusion that Chimera offers. The Chimera Video Pro Plus Softbank comes with (3) removable front diffusers; the standard, 1/2 grid cloth (lighter diffusion) and 1/4 grid cloth (lightest diffusion).
The Chimera Softbank is also known as a Lightbank or Soft box. They are added to almost any light fixture with the addition on a Chimera Speed Ring. The Chimera Softbank produces a very soft, almost shadowless light. Great for shooting interviews (portraits, talking heads).
My Recommendation: go with the Chimera Video Pro Plus One. It seems in practice that most people just want to use the heaviest diffusion when using a Chimera. It' s less expensive and you can always purchase the additional screens in the future if you feel you need the additional control.
